Privacy policy

Overview

MindPrint is local-first. Your journal and default language analysis stay on your device. We do not sell personal data, create advertising profiles, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.

Data that stays on your device

Journal entries, recoverable drafts, on-device language observations, confirmed memory labels, experiment answers, privacy preferences, and content-free subscription events are stored locally. Voice audio is used only while you request on-device transcription and is not retained by MindPrint.

Optional private iCloud sync

If you enable private iCloud sync, saved journal fields are encrypted and stored in your private Apple CloudKit database so your devices can synchronize them. Drafts and audio are not synchronized. Apple processes this data under its own terms. You can disable sync or request deletion of the MindPrint CloudKit zone without deleting your local journal.

Optional cloud AI

Cloud AI is off until you grant a specific consent. Before each request, MindPrint shows the question and exact journal excerpts you selected. Nothing is sent until you choose Send. The request passes through the MindPrint gateway to the configured AI provider to produce the requested response.

The gateway authenticates the app installation with Apple App Attest. It keeps the App Attest key and receipt for up to 90 days after the installation was last seen. A content-free request audit stores a hashed installation key, task type, outcome, evidence count, latency range, and timestamp for up to 30 days. It does not store questions, excerpts, prompts, responses, topics, IP addresses, advertising identifiers, or derived language signals. You can request deletion of the installation's gateway records from the app.

Production AI processing must use a provider configuration that prohibits training on MindPrint content and uses the shortest approved retention mode. The final provider and any material policy change will be reflected on this page before the feature is enabled.

Subscriptions

Apple processes purchases and payment information. MindPrint receives verified subscription status and transaction information needed to unlock Premium, restore access, and verify cloud eligibility. MindPrint does not receive your full payment-card details.

Diagnostics and support

The app has no advertising SDK or third-party analytics SDK. If you contact support, we use the information you choose to send to respond to the request. Do not include journal text or an exported journal. Cloudflare may process ordinary network and security metadata for the support site and gateway under its service terms.

Your choices

• Store an entry without analysis.
• Keep iCloud sync and cloud AI off.
• Revoke cloud-AI consent and delete gateway records.
• Disable sync or delete the private CloudKit zone.
• Export all local data.
• Delete all local data.

Children, international use, and changes

MindPrint is not directed to children and is not offered as a Made for Kids app. Optional processors may handle data in countries other than yours under their contractual safeguards. If this policy changes materially, the effective date and description will be updated before the affected processing begins.
